What is a Virtual Assistant?

Virtual Assistants are independent entrepreneurs providing administrative, clerical, technical, or creative services via online modes of communication. Services are provided on a contract basis from a home-based, mobile, or private office.

What Are the Costs?

As of Winter 2007, the current cost for resident students is $20 per unit. This cost does not include parking or books. Textbook costs vary and, in many cases, may be purchased used or discounted through online vendors. Core Classes (Offered Exclusively Online)

The certificate consists of a total of 17.5 units. The following core courses (and unit values) are listed below.

CAT 57 Creating and Managing the Virtual Office (3.0)
CAT 58 Marketing the Virtual Office (3.0)
CAT 30 Business English (3.0 units)
BUS 30 Entrepreneurship/Small Business Management (3.0)

Courses may be taken in any order. However, it is suggested that students begin with CAT 57. Students must also complete at least 5.5 elective units. For a complete list please download the PDF Flyer.
